Love the USBStreamer B, but every time I plug it back into my computer, I have to open alsamixer or the management interface to set the clock source to external.

How can I save this to the firmware so that I don't need to set it every time? Thanks!

Seeing alsamixer in there brings me some hope... (I'm a linux user - but actually am keen on using this device for an Akai Force which is linux under the hood)

But I have to ask if you have access to a windows PC - have you tried setting it in the windows app to check if it is persistent there?

I also need to comment that best practice in a recording setup is to sync to either a standalone quartz clock OR the clock where the AD converters are.   Given this device doesn't have a an AD converter, this setting should exist or even better an auto setting should exist to sync to external when an external clock is present.

This is also the opinion of Bob Katz, one of the worlds leading Mastering Engineers... he literally wrote the book on mastering. (The art and science of mastering audio)

I'm looking to get it to persist on the device itself. On Windows and Linux, I need to set the clock source manually on every boot. On MacOS, the OS remembers the clock source and sets it correctly.

Yep ..

I literally sent an email to support just before I found this post asking about persistence.
