woodenworker Topic Author Offline New Member Posts: 1 Thank you received: 0	I see a potential for using the UMA-8 as a hearing assistive device - particularly for human conversations, etc... Is it possible to use this mic array as a stand alone device with a low power amplifier driving a noise isolating in ear headphone? or maybe connect the UMA-8 to an iphone to be used as an external microphone? thanks for any input.

An interesting application which few ppl already mentioned before. Not sure how that would work with "a low power amplifier driving a noise isolating in ear headphone".. The device always require a PC/Android to work. With an iphone you'd need to use a USB camera kit.
