I am trying UMA-8 mic array with Linux board (Intel Minnowboard Turbot).
I think this is UMA-8 1.0 with 1.5 firmware.
I am seeing below, which I do not observe with other mics and wonder what is causing it.

i) Connect UMA-8 directly to the board, either USB2.0 or USB3.0 slot.

=> UMA-8 not enumerated. No message in dmesg, and lsusb does not show the device.
(So, it is not detected at all.)

ii) Connect UMA-8 to a USB hub, and then connect the hub to the board, either USB2.0 or USB3.0 slot.

=> This time. UMA-8 is shown in both dmesg and lsusb.

Any idea?

@Xevokk

Unfortunately we don't provide tech support for Linux OS (too hard to control the million of potential distributions out there) however we do know that UMA8 will work fine on Linux.. Just make sure that you have ALSA 2.0 for UAC 2 audio support.
There are some app notes here for RPi for example to get you started.
