Can someone please explain these settings?

VAD Detect Time
VAD Timeout
VAD Threshold Enter
VAD Threshold Exit

The PDF says VAD Detect Time defaults to 2 and timeout to 50, however I see 4000 and 2000 for those and 2 and 50 for enter and exit. Enter and exit aren't mentioned in the PDF at all!

I guess VAD is only relevant for DOA? DOA isn't important for me. What I want is to improve accuracy for giving voice commands to control lights, etc. Are the default setting ideal for that? Is there a guide or something on how I can adjust settings for my specific environment?

Hello? Is anybody home? I bought your $100 microphone, would be cool to have some answers on how to use it. :(

@ ns1234

Sorry for missing this post. Remember that this is a "community powered forum" (as explained above all sections of forum). Our team can always help by starting a tech support support ticket (support.minidsp.com) if any specific/urgent question. Thanks!

These settings shouldn't require much tuning unless you have a specific application. It's for Voice Activity Detection to help for Voice to Speech detection (i.e. start recording). Check out the latest plugin/firmware online. It has solved some bugs. You shouldn't have to tune any of these settings to get a simple setup as yourself. DOA (Direction of arrival) are related VAD but not the same.
