I would like to use a UMA-8 in coordination with a Raspberry Pi (3b) + PocketSphinx (ASR/NLU) . Sphinx expects 16-bit audio.

Would it be possible to control the output bitdepth in the UMA-8?

I can software convert (PulseAudio/custom) but this may cause some resource contention based on the other software running on the rpi.

Thoughts?

@ audioslave
Right now we don't have support for 16bit I"m afraid. Only 24bit .You might need to use an ASRC to do that I'm afraid.
