In the manual, the function of SW1 is as follows:
"SW1: Bypass/activates all microphone processing. The processing is active when the application starts."

However, when I press this button, the output levels on the I2S line (J3.1 - I2S_OUT_0) changes. I get about maybe 6db(guessing) of boost. Why is this happening? Is SW1 somehow affecting the speaker processing as well?

I do want another clarification as well. SW1, as stated above does the following:
"Bypass/activates all microphone processing. The processing is active when the application starts."

Also, The "Bypass_on [0,1] / Modes for DSP processing" in the manual states the following:
0: normal operation / Both microphone processing and speaker processing is enabled
1: bypass microphone processing, speaker processing remains
2: pure bypass where both the speaker processing AND microphone processing is disabled

When SW1 is hit, is it doing the same thing as going back and forth between mode "0" and mode "1"?
From the end user, this is a bit confusing, as when the SW1 is toggled, there is no change in the "Mic-Array" Application's "BF field", as if the two options are not related at all.
By the way, I don't even know how to set mode "2" in the application, but that's another story.

Please let me know. I'm sure other people have the same question.

@ kotani

It's a bit hard to "guess remotely". You have a lot of settings on the UMA-8 on that GUI.. :-)
You most likely have some settings on the compressor or such? Hard to guess once again..

SW1 will bypass all processing so most likely the reason here.

The Compressor and the Limiter is off, so I don't think that is the issue. The manual states that SW1 will bypass all microphone processing. Your post above seems to be saying that SW1 will bypass all processing, including input and output.. Which is correct? Thanks!
