As in the manual, I have followed the steps as below:
"1) Unplug USB 2) Press Switch 2&3 (SW2&3 on top of board) 3) Plug USB again."

Unfortunately, when I do this, I'm still left with the settings from before. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Please let me know.
Thank you!

-Kei

@ Kei

Can you please clarify what you mean by "I'm still left with the settings from before"?
Maybe tell us a bit more of the state of the UMA-8 (E..g beamforming mode?) Maybe you're just in a mode that isn't correct.

More info would help I think.. :-)

Thank you for getting back to me.

The UMA-8 is in beamforming 2ch mode, and the settings that I am messing with retain even after the reset procedure. For example,, things like the "AGC Target" db levels will retain their settings.

Hello

Maybe you're not reconnecting with the plugin? Or maybe these are the default settings?
Some screenshots would help I think.

How things work?
- UMA8 plugin will "read" back the settings from the Mic array board everytime you click the "Connect" button.
- If you reset the board (with the plugin still connected), you need to close the plugin to reconnect.

Ok. To give you an idea, this is what I am doing.

Step 1: Plug UMA-8 into computer (Mac in my case)
Step 2: Open the Mic-Array Application, and connect to the device.
Step 3: I change the AGC Target Parameter from -10db to -15db.(as a test)
Step 4: I close the Mic-Array Application
Step 5: I unplug the USB cable, and confirm no power to UMA-8.
Step 6: I press SW2, and SW3 at the same. In this step, I have tried tapping once, and also holding the two switches for a few seconds.
Step 7: I reconnect the UMA-8 into computer once again.
Step 8: I open the Mic-Array Application, and connect to the device.
Step 9: I confirm that the AGC Target Parameter is still at -15db, therefore, no reset to default has taken place.

I'm guessing Step 6 is what I'm doing wrong, but from reading the manual, this is the idea I am getting..

Please let me know. I don't think screenshots would help.

Hi Kei:

Possibly due to firmware bug, please update the firmware attached here to see if it can fix.

Also note that the default AGC Target is -16dB.

Hello. Thank you for getting back to me.

I have flashed the firmware to v.1.2 from your link above, and I have tried the reset procedure, but it still will not revert to default. I have also tested this, by turning off the BF settings and others, and I get the same exact issue every time. Can you post a video of how the reset procedure is supposed to work? Perhaps it's a misinterpretation of the manual's wording. Thank you.

Hi Kei:

In step 6, did you try press-and-hold the SW2 and SW3 buttons, and at the same time, plug in the USB cable to power up the UMA-8?

If restore is successful, the LED next to SW3 button should light up, then you can release both the SW2 and SW3 buttons.

Hope this info helps.
