I am trying to make an aggregate audio device on a Macbook Pro with OSX 10.14.5 out of four U-DAC8s (for a total of 32 channels out). The specific hardware composition is:
  • U-DAC8 (v1), serial number 0001, Version 6.b3
  • MCHStreamer DAC8 (v2), serial number 00006, Version 1.03
  • MCHStreamer DAC8 (v2), serial number 00006, Version 1.03
  • MCHStreamer DAC8 (v2), serial number 00006, Version 1.03

All of the devices are attached to the laptop via a USB3 hub, and appear in the USB System Report. Only the v1 and one of the v2 interfaces appear in the Audio Midi Setup device list. At no time can I make more than on v2 devices appear at once.

Does anyone have any idea if this is an OSX issue, a U-DAC8 issue, or something else? I tried to find a firmeware update for the interfaces, but could not find anything relevant.

@supersg559

We could be wrong but I believe that our support team already helped on this request? For OSx to support multiple USB interface, we need a unique SN# ID. Feel free to contact our team if you need some support for getting the custom firmware.
