Hi

I have little digital experience and would appreciate some advice. Need to interface a Sonifex S2 broadcast desk to a pc running Windows 10 Pro. Desk has two stereo output busses with spdif or aes/ebu ins and outs. Want to send both busses to the pc for 4 channel recording (i.e. 2 x stereo) using Adobe Audition CC.

Would also want to simultaneously output 2 x stereo playback signals from Station Playlist to different desk inputs for flexibility. System is only 2 ch stereo and is at 44100/16bit throughout. No surround etc. This is a hospital radio station.

The U-DIO8 seems to fit the bill for this purposes, is it appropriate for the job, or is there a better alternative? Cost is a major factor as the charity is self funded only. Immaterial whether spdif or aes/ebu is used as desk can accommodate either or both, my preference would be aes/ebu (I like XLR's!).

Would appreciate any comments

Thanks

Christopher
