Anyone out there successfully using the U-DAC8 as a USB 5.1 solution with Android TV?

Thanks
Nuno

@ Nuno,

Unfortunately we've never used the UDAC8 on a Shield.. Is that unit able to do multichannel on the USB out? Would be worth trying indeed... If it's a USB audio class 2 device compliant, it will indeed work fine.

Unfortunately I've only been able to get stereo to work. My intent was to put an Android TV in my main media room, and plug it to my 5.1 analog amp via USB-->U-DAC8. But since that doesn't seem to work, I've kept my full Windows based media center solution in place and am utilizing it in the bedroom where I only have 2.1 sound.

It would be great if you guys could do some research on what would take for that type of setup to work.

Thanks,
Nuno

@ Nuno,

Did you contact Nvidia to ask if their device can support 7.1 output on their USB stack?
Might be worth maybe asking them since their tech support team might be able to clarify?
