Hello,

I just received the Flex 8 and have been messing with it and dirac live.

I have also been using the flex 8 in sorta a preamp. Let me explain.

I use the first 4 channel out for my 2-way active (speaker A) speaker, 5-6 for regular (speaker B ), and 7-8 (speaker C). I assigned each configuration to preset 1-3

So I have 3 set of speakers connected to the 8 outputs into my multi channel amp.

I did some Dirac measurements using preset 1 ( active speaker A). Sounds great

Now if I swap to preset 2 to listen to speaker 2 I can turn Dirac on/off. Question is, am I using the same dirac global adjustment?

can I use different dirac measurements/adjustments curves on different preset? That way the Dirac effect is unique for the preset which also align with the speakers I used for said measurements.

is what I’m asking possible? Or can I only have 1 dirac loaded at a time and it’s being used for all and any preset I swap over?

i hope my question makes sense.

I don't understand your speaker configuration form what you've posted, in that I can't understand how many speakers you may have playing at any one time in each configuration.

Each preset is independent and can have a separate Dirac Live filter pair (left and right channels), and its own DL gain and delay adjustments if you chose to apply these (it's an option you can turn off in DL if you don't want this).

You need to make a specific set of Dirac Live measurements for each setup, and store the generated filters in the corresponding preset.

Sorry if there's any confusion. But no, I am not playing 3 sets of speaker at once. The preset is specifically only muxed to unique output for each preset

Preset 1 - Left -> out 1&2, Right -> out 3&4 (cross over are added to 1-4 to achieve active speaker design)
Preset 2 - Left -> out 5, Right -> out 6
Preset 3 - Left -> out 7, Right -> out 8

Base on your comment. I can switch my preset, hit the calibration button, and once the measurement and target curve is generated, it'll save to that preset.  Can anyone else confirm? So realistically, I can have up to 4 different dirac profies saved on the flex 8 at time? (one to each preset?)

Not quite. You choose which preset you save a Dirac Live filter to:

docs.minidsp.com/product-manuals/flex-ei...e/filter-export.html

This flexibility exists for people who have the same basic setup in multiple presets but have say different DL filters for music or movies.
