TOPIC:

I have a slightly strange setup were I've ended up with a digital signal, running to a dac, which get sent through to my preamp, to the MinidspHD, through to power amps.
This setup effectively has digital to analogue to digital to analogue conversion going on. My question is - how bad is this for the signal?
I could spend some time and money in cleaning this up and having a simpler signal stream, but i want to know whether it's worth it (will i notice the difference?

use your ears

just connect the digital source directly to the miniDSP (turn main volume down on the miniDSP) and compare to the setup as above.
