Perfect screen shot, Dave. That's exactly what I don't see on my 2.03 2x2, and exactly what I do see on my 4x8. I'll try the new versions of each as soon as I've noted how exactly (esp. the 4x8, with xovers and delays) I've configured my current versions, since I doubt this is a 'seamless' upgrade.

Quite the mystery though.

Ok, after relearning how I loaded my stuff a year ago and figuring out what to do and not do, I have some answers finally.

1. I was wrong; it is pretty much a seamless upgrade.

2. What happens on my 2x2 is this: right after loading a FIR, I get the pathname like in Dave's screenshot. Forever after, it's gonzo. Blank. Whether I'm connected or not (not that it matters, but checked both anyway).

3. In the 4x8 FIR screen, the pathnames persist as usual.

This mirrors my experience, on both the 2x2 and the 4x8.

Dear All,

The mystery of file names.. :-)
- OpenDRC 2x2 unfortunately doesn't have this feature to permanently store the file name. It can be added to feature requests.
- miniSharc 4x8 does have this feature, the pathname is stored in the xml, but if you restore to default or load the whole xml file from others who don't have pathname, you may not see the pathname in FIR panel. Possible explanation?

Anyway, we've sent your feedback to the software engineers. Thanks again for the info.
