Hi All,
I see the SHD does not have a factory reset in software or hardware ability. The SHD Power is the only product in the series that seems to have a hardware rest button.
My problem is that when performing a Dirac measurement, the first two input channels in the Device Consule (new version), Dirac 1 & 2 has a delay and gain display which can not be adjusted or zeroed. ( attached photo).
After performing the Dirac measurements and then saving, when using the Dirac filters the sound stage is compressed and the left speaker is slightly louder ruining the stereo image.
When using the remote to switch between Dirac and no Dirac it is obvious that the soundstage is now narrower than the non filtered output.
If I disconnect my SHD and use an analouge  preamp, the channels are equal in loudness and the stereo image is as recorded.
I would assume that with Dirac turned off, the Dirac1 & 2 input channels gain and delay would be negated but this does not seem the case.
I have contacted miniDSP tech help and are awaiting an answer but just wondered if any other have noticed this?

Dirac 1&2 are set based on the 1st center measurement (you can't change them) so its important the microphone is in the mid listening position at ear height. Also make sure the microphone is positioned correctly for the various left & right measurements, its easy to get wrong if you are facing the speakers.

Thanks Colin,
Yes I have been through the Dirac application notes as well as the minidsp page procedures many times.
Im also experienced at using REW, rePhase and the like so believe Im following known science in this.
I use the mic in the upright position and of course have used the correct calibration files.
This is more to do with the SHD/Dirac software.
I am very careful to ensure my speaker toe in and listening position ( triangle) in respect to getting the setup correct.
I have very good results with imaging and sub intergration but as I increase the volume to realistic volume levels for guitar based tracks, the room interferes.
So Im using Dirac to help but find it distorts my already good sound stage and has biased my stereo to the left.
Really good of you to take the time help mate.
