Hi,

I'm using a minidsp shd as an active crossover in my system. With my old speakers, (Usher cp 8571 II 3 way 87db) I wasn't using the passive crossover for the wofer (just the one from the SHD) but keeped the mid/hi passive cx. Had no noise at all from the SHD.

With TAD speakers (TD-2001 for tweeter and TL-1603 woffer) and no passive CX SHD creates a hiss noise comming from the tweeters. If I mute the SHD noise stops. If I don't use the SHD and use same amp with the passive cx noise dissapears. I mean looks like it's the SHD but with the new speakers (maybe as there is no passive filter at all or because it's a high efficiency driver).

All connections are balanced. It's not a hum or earth loop problem (almost sure).

Any ideas?

It's not something that matters when volume is a bit high but at night with low volume it's not something you'd like...

Thanks a lot.
