Volumio works, I can stream music. I recently replaced my laptop and reinstalled DIRAC and the Device Console. I also installed the newest USB driver and firmware, but still I cannot connect to the minidsp SHD. The Device Control does not see my minidsp SHD and DIRAC says its behaving in an unexpected way and may be out of sync when I use the IP to connect. I am using a short USB cable to connect the device to my laptop. Restarted both systems several times. What can I do?

Im sure you've already tried this but try different USB ports on your PC.  I had a similar problem with getting my SHD to appear where sometimes it would work but most of the time it wouldn't. 

But i changed the USB port i was using on my laptop and it works consistently now.  Even with a long USB extension chord.

That could have been the solution, I tried more ports, restarted everything and all was well :) Thx
