Yes, that is the one of the albums I hear the pops on as well as the 1st track of the Melody Gardot album.  Good to know you don't hear them.  For me, if I change Qobuz t CD quality I don't hear the clicks either.  I also changed a setting in Volumio under Roon Ready Settings called "Audio Buffer Size" and that seemed to help.  Do you happen to know what that setting actually does?  Thank you, so much, for your help!

I don't know but the obvious guess is that it does exactly what the label says - varies the buffer size used for the streamed music files. Playback doesn't rely on the music data arriving real-time like it would via say SPDIF, but rather there should always be a certain amount in a buffer waiting to be converted to analogue and played (the buffer). If the data transfer is briefly interrupted this may or may not be noticeable depending on the size of this buffer, with a larger buffer being more resilient to this.

Yeah, I get what a buffer does, in general, but I can't find any documentation on what that specific setting does and if my changing it actually helps (it seems like it does!) or if it's just a coincidence.  The adjustments are really weird.  They go .010, .025, .050, .100, .250, and .500.  I wonder what you are buffering and what does .010 mean.

Streaming with a Roon trial, still trying to figure out if I want to keep Roon, use Volumio, or use SONOS.

I have just picked up on this thread and will add that I too have noticed a faint clicking sound (like static) when streaming hi res Qobuz tracks (mostly 192KHz).  I use the SHD as a Roon streamer.  It’s faintly noticeable through my active speakers (with external DAC), more so when using high quality headphones.  This happens via both SHD digital and analogue outputs, so I’m presuming it’s an SHD/Volumio issue.  Listening to same tracks at 96KHz or below solves the problem (I can just about hear the effect at 96KHz, but it’s barely perceptible). I haven’t really done much about this since I have few 192KHz tracks and the effect isn’t very pronounced.  But it definitely is noticeable if I listen out for it.

@Bialymn Can you try something?  Can you go into Volumio on the SHD, Settings, Playback Options, Roon Ready Playback Options and then see if changing the Audio Buffer Size helps?  I've adjusted it from .50 to .100 and it seems to have helped.  I do have a ticket open with MiniDSP and have sent them Volumio logs but am still waiting to see what they say.
