Well it's been almost a year since I've done my last room tests, and at that time running (and still) Mac Monterey, there were issues with Dirac Live that I know have been fixed. So, just upgraded SHD plugin software and firmware to latest as well as latest Dirac Live. And now have a second sub, so, I'm pretty excited to see the better results I should be able to acheive.

I've been rereading the SHD and Dirac manuals, and highlighting and underlining various things in =13pxthe PDF manual. I was hoping someone could clarify one thing before I start. In the main miniDSP article following the steps here: www.minidsp.com/applications/subwoofer-t.../sub-integration-rew in order, to first flatten the EQ response of the stereo Dynaudio 18S subs with REW, then adding a crossover, set the time delay between subs and mains. And once everything is set up correctly between the left and right channels (essentially creating a basic stereo 2.2 system in SHD where channel 1 and 3 are the left and right satellites, and channels 2 and 4 are the left and right sub) to run Dirac Live sweeps.

So, I would ignore what is mentioned here in this article www.minidsp.com/applications/rew/speaker-time-alignment  of establishing "time alignment" between my left and right channel 2.2 set up? I'm guessing this article is only referring to people NOT using Dirac Live, or to people running a 5.1 system? Or should I also be doing my own time alignment in my initial REW steps before running Dirac Live? I know that Dirac Live makes some of it's own time alignment corrections with it's impulse response that it's adding to the equation? I want to make sure i don't muddle things unnecessarily.

thanks in advance, Carlos
