Device Console doesn't find SHD Studio on network

toman Topic Author Offline New Member Posts: 10 Thank you received: 3	Just upgraded my SHD Studio and tried the Device Console. Pretty nice! But it doesn't seem to find my SHD unless USB is connected. The SHD is connected via wired network, my Macbook Air over wireless. Known issue?

This is the expected behaviour. Connection is still just via USB as it was previously. With the USB cable connected you should just click on the Discover Devices button and then see your SHD shown.

The header of the Discover Devices tab clearly says "Devices plugged into your network / USB are shown below" though, so this was not expected for me (or any user with a networked attached SHD I'd presume).

I agree the wording suggests there may be new functionality but sadly there isn't, and the reference to 'your network' here is to cover possible use of the WI-DG.

toman Topic Author Offline New Member Posts: 10 Thank you received: 3	Ah, right. I remember reading that and must have misinterpreted Wi-Dg as WiFi Dongle, the one that comes with the SHD. Thanks for clearing it up! There is always room for improvements in software UI and especially it's text
