I currently have a MiniDSP SHD (standard) with NEO3 board and use the USB to trigger on my amp.
Does the SHD Studio power off the USB port in standby mode to permit its use as a trigger?

As far as I understand it should work as long you have the most recent hardware (neo3).

But maybe it is more safe to ask the minidsp support about this?

The NEO3 post was for the SHD.

I am looking into the SHD Studio that also has a USB but I am not sure if the Studio is NEO3 and USB powers off in standby.
I send the question to MiniDSP support.

Because the difference between neo3 and neo2 is the streaming module I think it is the same with SHD and SHD Studio.

Like @gbr I believe that both SHD and SHD Studio models have Neo 2 and Neo 3 versions, and the FAQ below has a heading referring to both. I'd contact miniDSP support to confirm exactly what you want to know though.
