I just noticed that when playing "Master" (MQA) tracks using Tidal Connect on my SHD Studio, the Tidal app now says it is actually using Master quality. Earlier it would only indicate Hifi quality for such tracks.

I have no way to *truly* verify whether the SHD/Volumio is decoding the MQA bits, but the Volumio web UI says it is playing back using 48khz/24bit for tracks that have this resolution, so it is at least decoding some of it.

So the question I have is whether the Tidal Connect implementation is actually software decoding MQA/first unfold? I read elsewhere that MiniDSP initiated MQA certification but that it didn't come to fruition. Still, extracting the extra resolution encoded in good MQA tracks would be nice, even if it isn't able to configure the correct filter in the DAC.
