A good possible cause is mentioned here: moodeaudio.org/forum/showthread.php?tid=1588
Pausing a song causes the internet connection socket to be unused; Internet providers close sockets that have been unused for a while.
Then after unpausing, the software doesn't pick up that the connection has closed on the other side and therefore keeps skipping songs.

This could theoretically also happen if a provider is aggressively closing unused sockets - say after 3 minutes - and you're playing a long track which has already been buffered completely I guess?

This would mean that it might help to decrease the audio buffer size so that the socket is used more frequently. But I do not know if the audio buffer setting effects the qobuz plugin.
