Today I bought the minidsp SHD and while configuring the routing matrix, I got the message that I could either quit the application or the unit would do a factory reset. So I closed the application. Then my unit went off. I restarted it and it displayed "DPS FAIL!". Turning it off and on again did not help. Then I tried pressing the reset button at the back while powering it on, and then on the display "DSP OFF" appears. But that's all. I cannot connect to the unit. It does not respond to anything. It does nothing.

How do I perform a full factory reset? And start again?
Note: I did not install ROON. So its not a ROON factory reset. The manual gives no information about a normal facotry reset?

Another weird thing happened. The MINIDSP had a bug with my UMIK1. I could not calibrate the Right Speaker. So I had to use a NAD microphone for DIRAC (it was delivered with my NAD M33). What could be wrong with my unit?

There is a sticky at the top of this section that tells you how to do the only type of reset I'm aware of. I'd suggest you contact miniDSP support (via link at top of page) though as it sounds like things were never right for you from the start.
