Hi, Can anyone tell me if the state of my NanoPI Neo is functional?  It's displaying a solid red and blue light - see attached photo.

Longer story is that I haven't used my unit for a number of months. After turning it on I could access Volumio via my network but the UI options didn't look right (displaying object names instead of images) and I couldn't get anything to play out of my library, although I could see the library and navigate through it.

I flashed the SHD version to v1.15 and firmware to v1.29.  I then re-initialized the SD card image using file " minidspshd-1.015-2019-02-15-nanopineo2.img ".  Now I can no longer see the SHD on my network (or access the Volumio web page).  I can access the SHD through the APP and USB connection.

I followed the instructions from page 76 of the SHD manual and what was described in this troubleshooting post .  I sent miniDSP a "trouble ticket" mid-day Friday (HK time) but didn't hear back from them.

Any troubleshooting suggestions appreciated.

I was able to mostly solve my issues by loading the Neo3 image on the SD card: community.volumio.org/t/volumio-3-on-nanopi-neo2-and-neo3/52319

Not sure if this is optimal.  Guess I'll wait for DevTeam to respond to my open ticket.

Whether it's optimal will depend what you want I guess but it's not the version intended for the SHD, which has unique features that the general one you've downloaded does not. It's interesting to know what you've downloaded apparently works though. Does this give you Tidal Connect functionality?

It does not.  Also, Qobuz integration is gone. It's also prompting me to upgrade for those features. But it did fix my bricked-over-Easter-holiday-with-support-MIA issue.

WISH MINIDSP WOULD PROVIDE LINKS TO VOLUMIO DOWNLOAD IMAGES in addition to the firmware link that they currently have listed in their user downloads section.

I also had no idea that my unit was a Neo3 version. The Neo2 images didn't allow the Pi to boot.

Anyway, I hope DevTeam/Tony can get me the "official" Volumio image after they return from the holiday.

Does this reset option help?

Re. Qobuz, yes one of the benefits of the SHD-specific Volumio build is it has Qobuz integration without needing to pay for a Volumio subscription.

Yes, That link would have helped me yesterday. TY.  (I did search for it prior to posting).

Now I'm not sure if I should go through that procedure or just wait for a DevTeam factory image for the SD card. I understand that there have been a couple Volumio updates that have rolled out for the SHD and I'd like to be on the latest one.

Once you have a working version you can then update to the latest version from within Volumio itself. This is how all owners update to newer versions.

Except for the fact that this is how my installation got broken in the first place.  Prior to doing anything to it, I clicked the update button from within Volumio.  After I did that and it "successfully updated", my image was hosed.  I then went through the ordeal I've documented in this thread.

I suspect there is some dependency between the firmware installed in the SHD and the version of Volumio it's capable of running.  In my case I was apparently running an older firmware and clicking the Volumio update button caused my unit to brick (the Volumio portion of it).

This doesn't normally happen though and I wouldn't expect it to happen again to you if you tried again. There was a link between a recent firmware version and Volumio update though, which you can see noted in your miniDSP User Downloads section.

Regression bug in v1.111 and v1.112 Volumio code base.  Since this only seemed to affect me, disregard.

Thanks for all the help!
