You might need to provide a bit more context if you want folk to advise.

Whats in the system, how is everything connected etc.

Best guess without more info: turn up the gain on your sub and reduce the master volume on your miniDSP.

My apologies for being so vague my system is 2 channel.
I have a streamer transport that is connected to a DAC that is then connected  through XLR cables to the Mini dsp shd out of that unit to my amplifier and then out to the speakers.
The sub is a Wilson watchdog 2 that is powered by a monoblock power amp that is  connected to the third input on the Mini dsp shd.

Presumably all the amps you mention are power amps or being used as power amps with volume controlled by SHD?

Do the power amps have any dials to adjust the gain? As @ultrasonic says you might just need to turn down the gains in the plugin but if the amps have no gain control I don't see how you can raise the output of the sub.

When you hear clipping (while watching the plugin) can you see any of the input or output bars going into the red?

The amplifier is a Gryphon Diablo 300 integrated amplifier it has gain control.
The audio research monoblock power amp does not.
So I can turn the master volume down on the mini DSP SHD and then turn the game up on the amplifier to compensate.
And yes occasionally it does move just into the red.
At quite low volumes the sub is clipping.

Are you using just the SHD for volume control? Do you bypass the Gryphon's pre-amp?

Hi, no I've been using the shd at 0db and adjusting the volume via the amplifier.

That's got to be your problem. The subwoofer volume is fixed while your mains volume is varying..

This explains why the mains may be playing low but the sub is still clipping as it's receiving a maximum signal regardless of where you set the mains volume!

Although I would use the SHD as the volume control as that option will give you the best subwoofer integration I can appreciate that after spending as much as you have on the 300 you may be reluctant not to use the pre-amp section.

OK You have two options

1. Use Diablo for volume control (but given there are no crossover controls on the sub this gives you very limited (if any) sub integration). Connect SHD output 1&2 to the diablo's L&R. Connect the "subwoofer out" of the Diablo to the AR monoblock. On SHD plugin outputs tab reduce all the gains by -10dB and leave the master volume at 0. Run Dirac (it will do its best)

Option 2 is to use SHD for volume control (Ideal). Connect SHD output 1&2 to the diablo's L&R "input 3". Folllow the Diablo manual's instructions and set input 3 as a dedicated AV input which bypasses the Diablo's pre-amp. Connect SHD output 3 to AR monoblock. In the SHD plugin make output 3 mono and apply your mains and subwoofer filters (roll-off frequencies). In the SHD plugin outputs tab reduce all the gains by -10dB. Run Dirac

Your sharing is very good, I like it very much. Will clash royale chino apk adapt to the device? I want to play it on it.
