Hi. Thanks in advance for any guidance you might be able to provide!

I have two rooms:
* Room1: 2.0
* Room2: 2.1

The speaker runs for both rooms terminate in Room1, where I currently have a receiver with a speaker selection knob which allows for A/B/Both.  The two rooms always play the same source concurrently, which are:
* Roon Pi Endpoint + DAC
* Turntable

I will be replacing the receiver with separates, including 2 x Hypex NC252MP amps, and looking for the rest of the setup: preamp, dac, streaming, phono, dirac.

Question:  Given that the zones play the same source concurrently, but will have independent dirac settings/files/projects, I’m getting the sense that I’ll need to spring for two separate SHD’s, one for each zone?  This is clearly the elegant but more expensive solution.

Or…

Would there be any creative ways of saving money through another config?  I have two dacs and extra roon-pi’s, if that helps. I loooked at the idea if using 2 x ddrc24’s, and was thinking that the only thing I’d be missing with that is balanced outs, and a volume knob for the turntable.  Both of those could be solved for with 1) rca/balanced cables, and 2) a phono preamp with volume control running via y-cable to ddrc24’s. Wondering though if there are any more
elegant solutions?  I’m also not sure about whether the dacs would come before or after the ddrc24’s, given also voltage out requirements to the amp.  I have a schiit modi 3 and a modi multibit.

All that said, I’m leaning toward more convenience, consolidation.

Help!  And thank you.  :-)

Alan

If you want both rooms playing together and to have Dirac correction on both at the same time you'll need two sources with Dirac. One for each room.

Thank you.  Let’s say then that I only wanted one room active at a time (not simultaneous).  Is it possible to assign different dirac correction settings to each room/preset? I’m wondering if I can use Dirac 1 for room 1, and Dirac 2 for room 2?  Each room has a 2.1 speaker setup.
