Hi, I hope if anybody on this forum can help me with following problem.I have been using the MiniDSP SHD with great satisfaction for a while, however I’m getting tired using my workaround dealing with following issue.I have the SHD plugin up and running and connected to the SHD. When I select “Start Dirac Live Software”, every time the software installation process of an older Dirac Live version is started. During the installation process it detects there is a newer version of Dirac Live and this will be installed. After completing the installation, I can use Dirac Live to conduct measurements. Somehow the installation information does not persist. Next time I hit Start Dirac Live in the plug-in, again I have to go through the installation procedure.I have been through the process completely deinstalling both all MiniDSP SW components & Dirac Live SW from my machine, rebooting the machine, wiping out installation folders (I could find). Problem still persists.
My work around; I start the Dirac live software in the SHD plug in, go through 2 steps in the install process and leave it at that point (without completing the installation). Open a previously installed latest Dirac SW version and conduct my measurements. Can anybody point me into the right direction? with a registry entry change and/or MiniDSP config file location?

You have to install Dirac live from scratch outside of the SHD. I guess ,If you remove everything connected with Dirac from you PC, Download newest dirac 3.1 from their netpage and installing it(still not starting SHD connection) THEN you can start Dirac from within SHD.

Thank you for your suggestion Jeschiotz. This is actually what I have been doing as my work around.
However, after having Dirac successfully installed on my machine (outside the SHD plugin or without running the SHD plugin during the Dirac installation), the very next time I open Dirac within the SHD plugin, the installation of an old version starts.
It appears the SHD plugin does not recognize a successful/ complete Dirac software installation on my Windows 10 machine.

Are you using the most up to date version of the plugin AND the SHD firmware?

Yes, the latest (SHD_v1_15_fw_v1_29.zip as available on the user download section). Installed after un-installing all previous software versions and a reboot of my machine. I keep the SHD & Volumio firmware up-to-date when possible. Volumio version should likely not have any impact on the issue I'm experiencing.

@ Espowilleit

Extremely odd issue indeed.. Don't think we've ever seen this before.. Most likely an install issue on the unit.

Hopefully you're sorting this directly with Support now but note that the Volumio version (current is 1.111) and SHD firmware version (current is 1.29) are two different things. I agree that the Volumio version shouldn't affect your situation but I was asking about the SHD firmware.
