Regarding DSD I do not have any experience. And I do not know if the hi res material is converted to analog inside for the SHD's DAC as hires data >96/24 or also as 96/24 max. Hi,
volumio plays dsd, I just tried. But since the internal capacities of the shd are limited to 24/96 I think all material will be resampled to this rate. there is no digital to analog conversion inside the signal path of the shd. Only at the end of the chain the signal will be converted to analog output.
