Negative feedback reduces errors in the forward path of a system, that includes the effect of the load on an amplifier, so yes, reduced negative feedback would result in larger errors with changing loads.

So... my GF just came in and listened to a couple of songs. She knows absolutely nothing about stereo stuff. Asked her if she noticed anything different with the added "music thing".

"It sounds more smooth".

Mmm that makes sense. I remember reading a while ago that a model of valve amp can sound different with different owners as it will change slightly depending on the speakers it's paired with.

The speakers I settled on pairing with my amps have a very flat impedance curve only spiking briefly at around 80hz. I only realised that valve amps 'prefer' flat curves and realised my speakers had this after purchase so I got a little lucky there.

The difference should be a variation in the frequency response, exactly what Dirac is very good at correcting so maybe Dirac has an added benefit for tube amp owners :)
