Hi guys,
I'm a composer and I'm considering installing a SHD Studio for room correction in my private studio. My plan is to connect the SHD Studio between the digital send-return (SPDIF) of my RME Fireface UCX.

The problem is that I have a lot of projects with 48kHz or 44.1kHz settings. When a 48kHz project is running, the Fireface also runs at 48kHz. The digital output of the SHD Studio is a fixed 96kHz, so the sample rate doesn't match the Fireface. I have thought of several ways as described below, but have not solved the problem yet. Please let me know if you have any ideas.

1) Use a sample rate converter between SHD Studio and Fireface. However, professional DD converters are several times more expensive than SHD Studio, so it's not cost effective.

2) Install a full-size "SHD"; direct connection from the SHD to the speakers will solve the problem, but it will not allow us to use the Fireface software mixer. Also, a 1U size device is not desirable due to the layout of the studio.

3) Install other products. In short, I want to run Dirac Live with a 48kHz or lower systems. Is there any other suitable equipment? Software is not preferred.

Thanks.

Once the signal has left the SHD Studio why are you sending it back to the fireface? Can't you go from shd studio to your amps? Or SHD to your amps?

Fireface's software mixer is so flexible and useful that I want to send all of audio sources to the mixer. However, I don't necessarily need to use the mixer.

Can't you go from shd studio to your amps? Or SHD to your amps?

I use powered speakers which have no digital input, so I can't go from SHD studio to speakers directly. Of course full size SHD's analog outputs would solve the problem, but in terms of my studio layout, half-rack size is ideal. Partly because it's a bit expensive.

Hi, I am having similar issue with SHD Studio as my DAC operates only up to 44.1 kHz sample rate. Would be nice to hear from designers is there any way to change sampling from 96 kHz to 44.1 kHz? In Volumio settings there is option "Audio Resampling" but activation and forcing 44.1 kHz doesn't change output signal unfortunately.
