It used to work , even if it was a bit brutal. Now it’s stopped working . There seems to be some settings so what combination might bring it back to life ?

Has no one else experienced this? The IOD Roon app used to be able to control the SHD gain and now it doesn’t. Is there a fix now  or is this  maybe waiting for the roon approval ?

I am not using Roon. The only suggestion I have is to check wether all your software is up to date. Especially firmware and volumio. Because in the last one or two versions were changes included regarding volume control IIRC.

Most likely a Roon Ready limitation. The SHD was never advertized as Roon ready but had a workaround in Beta mode while we are finishing the certification. 
Since Roonlabs stopped support for all beta/uncertified device. Possible that you don't have volume control anymore. 

The SHD will hopefully soon get that certification finalized as we got a second round of feedback.
