B) Hello,
does SHD includes active crossovers functionality?
I see distinction on minidsp site, between active crossovers series and SHD series.
At least to build from scratch 2 way loudspeakers set.
I have 2 power amp available.
Thanks

Yes, the four output channels can be used for 2 way speaker stereo. The SHD plugin allows you to put DSP crossover filters in the output channels to achieve active crossovers.

Sorry for my late reply and many thanks for yours, work was a nightmare in the last 2 weeks.
Can I connect a digital output (coax) port? The plan is to build the 2 way active crossover as said, plus 1 or 2 active subwoofer.

Since SHD is only 4 channels you can't do 2 way active crossovers and support subs at the same time. That would require 5 or 6 channels. SHD may have more physical outputs but it only has 4 processing channels. Every physical output will come from one of these four processing channels.

I would tend to suggest the 3rd and maybe 4th channels should be used to support subs, because the time delays per channel are essential for proper time alignment of subs.
