Hi, new SHD owner here. Working through the setup and everything is working so far except one surprise.

Searched the forums and only found one answer and it wasn't definitive.

I use a TivoStream4K (AndroidTV) for Netflix, Prime Video, etc. My setup is stereo, so I'd like to route the audio through the SHD. Before I bought the SHD, I used a USB DAC (TubeMagic) and the TivoStream defaulted to the USB audio and everything worked well.

I plugged the TivoStream into the USB port on the SHD and got nothing. The biggest clue is that the TivoStream continued to output audio to the HDMI output. I have this routed through an HDMI audio extractor and into the SHD via SPDIF. Tivo says, and my experience demonstrates, that when a USB DAC is attached to the TivoStream, the HDMI audio will switch off. So, I have to assume the TivoStream does not see the SHD as an audio device.

Any idea how to get this to work?

Using the HDMI audio extractor works, but it's another cheap converter that will probably fail right at the key moment in the best movie ever. I'd like to use the USB. I am aware that doing so will disconnect the Windows PC I'm using for configuration, but that's all right.

B) Very insightful question since there are two on the TivoStream and two on the SHD. The Tivo micro-USB is for power and Ethernet. The Tivo USB-C is for storage and USB audio. I connected the USB DAC to the USB-C port and it worked fine.

The SHD has the "Host" port, which I believe connects to the Neo3 running Volumio. It provides network and storage access to Volumio. The "Control/Audio" USB port is where you connect the PC to do SHD config.

I'm connected from Tivo USB-C to SHD Control/Audio. I believe that's correct. It was the first USB-C to USB-B (not micro) that I've purchased. It could be a faulty cable. If others have gotten this to work, I'll try to figure out a way to test the cable.
