Apologies in advance if this is already covered here. I did a quick search and couldn’t find anything.

I have a MiniDSP SHD device with Volumio. It’s configured via wireless to use a static IP address (192.168.1.9). I can reach the device from my Windows desktop or Mac laptop: http://192.168.1.9 connects to the server. However I can’t connect from my Android phone, either using the Volumio app or by using a browser (Chrome or Firefox) to access the address. The app gives an error:

Webpage not available
net::ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE

Occasionally after a phone reboot I can connect and use the Volumio app, but shortly thereafter I lose the ability.

I haven’t done anything at the router level to restrict traffic. The phone and computers are connected to the same wireless network.

Am I doing something obviously wrong? Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

Are you able to connect other devices in your network with the android phone?

Do you have a normal and a guest wifi configured in the phone and it is switching to the guest wifi so you cannot connect to any other devices anymore?

Thanks for the response. Just confirmed that I'm not on my guest network.

When my Android phone can't connect to Volumio it can't connect to other local servers like my NAS. After a phone reboot I can connect to local devices for a while. So this looks like a phone, not Volumio issue.

FWIW the phone is a Samsumg Galaxy Note 9.
