I would like to use the SHP as a recording device under windows, as an input into a DAW software or as the microphone in Zoom meetings, etc..
In the manual it says: "The SHD Series processor sends its four output channels to the computer over USB. These can be used to
monitor or record the output channels" but so far I have not been able to get any signal in.
What may be the issue?
Yes, SHD is properly working as a soundcard for playback but not for recording and I think that everything is hooked up correctly.
Must be a settings issue. What may I have overlooked?
In the control panel the input (4 Kanäle, 24 Bits) has different grey and the pull down menu is disabled. (see attachment)

Note that the manual also says "These can be used to monitor or record the output channels of the processor."
This means they are already processed by Dirac and DSP for room correction so they aren't really useful for recording, especially with DAW software.

Usefull or not I will be able to asses when I get a signal - which I am currently not.
So, any ideas how I get the signal from an external source to the recording input?

I wouldn't expect a microphone to be able to drive the SHD very well in any case, it should be very low level compared to the sensitivity of the SHD inputs.
