Hi,
I have an SHD and a 4x10HD feeding 3 x Roksan Caspian amps driving a pair of PMC OB1 speakers with the crossovers removed, I also have a B&W PV1 sub.
I am using the 4x10HD as a 4 way crossover but would like to try using the SHD to feed the midrange and tweeter using the better quality DAC's and the 4x10HD feeding the bass and subwoofer.
Does anybody know the time delay through the 4x10HD so I can get the outputs from the SHD and the 4x10HD time aligned?

Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure anyone even knows the latency of the SHD although >20ms has been alleged.
It seems what you actually need is time alignment of the SHD with the 4x10HD.
I would probably try to use one of the channels of the 4x10HD and one of the channels of the SHD to drive left and right full range monitors. If you have the delays matched the stereo image should come from the exact centre between the speakers. If they are at all unmatched I suspect the stereo image will be horridly uncentered to say the least.
Once you know how to set the SHD and 4x10HD for matched time alignment you can easily use them with your 3 way system even though you don't actually know the latency of either the SHD or 4x10HD.

Minimum delay through the SHD is 25mS.
Minimum delay through the 4x10 is 0.2mS.

So, big difference.

Dave.
