I currently use a DDRC24 and am very impressed with the unit and am considering moving up to one of the SHD models, maybe the Studio. Some questions....

A) does the Studio have the same remote codes as the SHD? For instance I would like to use my Logitech remote to directly choose inputs without cycling through them (I can do this in DDRC so I’m presuming it will be ok).

b) is there a standby on/off on the Studio (from remote)?

C) I notice the SHD has updated hardware recently. Is this true for the Studio as well?

D) is there any way the SHD or Studio can remember last volume setting for each separate input? EG I’d like to set one input at 0dB volume and it would remember that setting even if I’ve adjusted volume on other inputs?

Thank you.

Unfortunately no.

Incidentally 0 dB would be a bad idea in conjunction with Dirac Live or any PEQ that applies boosts, as it risks digital clipping occurring. A max. of -10 dB is safe in general, and you can get a better idea for the filters you are actually using if you wish to by making additional measurements.

Ah yes, forgot about that. My DDRC24 is set a bit lower to allow for the Dirac to work correctly.

It’s a real shame about the volume settings on individual inputs as it would be convenient in some use cases. I wonder if a future firmware upgrade might allow for something like that. (Might not be possible with current hardware).
