Just updated, seems good although there was an update for the Spotify plug-in which I updated. Now I cannot get spotify to appear in the interface. It says the plugin in installed but its gone from my list and I can't find a way to bring it back.

Anyone having this experience?


UPDATE: figured it out. Had to go into the plugins menu - then click "installed plugins" - then click 'settings' on the plugin - then click login to re-login again. Not very clear, but there you go.

Version numbers in the release notes seem to be incorrect. Version 1.076 is the latest for Neo2, 1.073 is the stock one for new Neo3.

Btw 1.075 for Neo3 already exists.

I've just updated to 1.076 and like the addition of some artist/album details within Tidal .

I see Tidal has also gained an MQA On/Off option. I wonder what this actually does?

It would, although I have a vague recollection of it being said this was prevented by a need to integrate with something else. Possibly Roon.

My comment above about only allowing coarse volume adjustments was for running the Volumio interface on a Windows 10 laptop. This used to allow fine adjustment but I've remembered my Android phone did have the coarse adjustment issue. It's a shame the windows version is now the same as it pretty much makes the volume control useless. The volume control used to be locked entirely though and the remote control obviously works just fine.

That is a good point. Roon could insist on a 0 to 100 volume display.

Concerning volume display.

If Roon or Volumio insists on a 0-100 display the volume mapping must still adhere to the .5 dB steps with a total of 255 possible volume and a maximum attenuation of -127.5 dB.

The best approach is to preserve as much resolution as possible at the moderate volume levels by mapping each % to 1 dB.

Volume Mapping 1% = 1 dB
100% 0
90% -10
80% -20
70% -30
60% -40
50% -50
40% -60
30% -70
20% -80
10% -90
1% -99
0% -127.5

The dB scale is particularly important to PEQ and other functions implemented by the SHD. Preserving direct and linear mapping to the volume % is advantageous.

Ha! No, sorry, I meant in terms of the physical device you were interacting with Volumio on . My comment related to a Windows 10 laptop. I'm slightly wondering if the fact it has a touchscreen is influencing the behaviour too actually.

On minidsp-shd.local/playback page I still have 1% increments, volume slider at bottom of every page is 5% indeed.
