If I check for updates, it shows that I am on the latest version, but I am not on the latest version. The SHD shows I'm up to date: MiniDSP Ltd SHD Version 1.15 Firmware 1.21 What am I missing? I went straight to the second. www.minidsp.com/userdownloads/shd-series It's probably worth asking support. I'd be interested in what answer you get.

I have a new SHD that came with Volumio 1.073 Registered Dec 16, 10:24 CCT 2020.

My SHD does not power the USB Host (Type A) connection when in standby.
@Sonnie and I have been trying to figure out why my SHD works differently than others.

Since I am not a developer, I use Roon Bridge and am having trouble playing DSD converted to PCM there are short dropouts and Pops. I can also get these when Max power of 2 Sample Rate Conversion.

A Raspberry PI3 running Roon Bridge (DietPi) does not have dropouts playing DSD or Max power of 2 (192kHz).

I guess it's probably just a case of new units being shipped with a newer version than has been released for existing users then. If the apparent improved standby power consumption you've mentioned on ASR is purely the result of a firmware change then it would be good to see this become available.

Possibly the 1.076 Volumio build mentioned above may turn out to be what actually gets released more widely. If you're lucky it may have been updated to address the Roon related issue you have discovered I suppose.
