Is there any way of reading a preset configuration out of an SHD?

The SSD died on the laptop I used to configure one SHD so will need the software reinstalling. Once that is done the plugin will recognize that the SHD configuration does not match the (absent) plugin configuration and throw up the blocking choice to Restore Config or Synchronize Config.

Restore Config seems dreadfully named, if I'm reading the manual correctly is sets everything to default and throws away any configuration you had. To my mind restoring would get my configuration back, not throw it away.

Synchronize Config, again if I'm reading the manual correctly, appears to send the plugin configurations to the SHD. Since the plugin doesn't have any real configuration that can't really do anything except send default configurations or do nothing.

There seems to be no way to read SHD configurations into the plugin. Am I missing something?

In this case because the laptop SSD died I have no plugin configuration files so the fully working sounding great configurationj appears to be on borrowed time and will be lost as soon as I connect the plugin. I would really like to know what the time delay for the mains was and the attenuation for the sub. I so wish I'd written them down but with the REW files lost too I can't even look at those to find the calculated delay.

I'm not aware of an obvious solution you're missing I'm afraid :( . No harm checking with support of course but I suspect you'll not get the answer you'd like.

If you don't want to start from scratch, I wonder if one option might be to just 'lose' one of your 4 presets by syncing this one and then using measurements of differences between presets to determine the time delays you have set? Provided you had a good logic to how you arrived at your delay settings it hopefully shouldn't be too hard to just work them out again as you did before.

Thanks, I've now tried syncing another preset but behaviour was strange. SHD kept disconnecting and made me sync 4 times, whether that was once per preset I have no idea, it was never clear what it was actually doing or even to which preset. Fortunately it doesn't clear the Dirac calibrations and I quickly found 1.85ms delay on mains and 0dB sub gain seemed to be right.

I will get the umik-1 out and cal both systems again at some point but for now they are both sounding as they should with fully up to date software and firmware.
