Is Dirac Live only for the digital domain? I.E. if I connect to the analog inputs the SHD will do ADC before Dirac correction? Also, do the analog inputs take input directly from a turntable or from a phono preamp?

Thanks in advance,
Aaron

From page 43 of the SHD manual:

Although not shown on the diagram, ADC on the analog will be done prior to Dirac. Analog inputs can take input directly from a phono preamp. There have been discussions about doing RIAA curve in the digital domain, but the consensus is that a phono preamp is more suited for this function. I run my Avid Pulsus Phono Preamp into the SHD and have been very satisfied with the results.

I connected a microphone preamp to the analog xlr inputs and now I can monitor the microphone over my SHD. But what I really wanted to do is use it as a recording device under windows, as an input into a DAW software or as the microphone in Zoom meetings, etc..
Is there any way of achieving this?
In the manual it says: "The SHD Series processor sends its four output channels to the computer over USB. These can be used to
monitor or record the output channels" but so far I have not been able to get any signal in. What may be the issue? What should I try?

Are you using the correct USB-B port? Are you able to play music from the computer using the SHD as external sound card?

Yes, SHD is properly working as a soundcard for playback but not for recording. And I reall do think that everything is hooked up correctly. Must be a settings issue. What may I have overlooked?

In the control panel the input (4 Kanäle, 24 Bits) is a different shade of grey and the pull down menu is diabled.
