Hello,

yesterday I have connected a subwoofer digitally to the AES-Output 3/4 from the SHD Studio. Everything did work fine.

Today I switched on the devices (SHD, loudspeakers and subwoofer) and the subwoofer startet hammering (maybe 3 booms per second I guess) very loud. I quickly turned off the subwoofer, waited some seconds because I thought maybe the SHD was not correctly initialized yet. On the second turning on the same happened.

After waiting some more seconds and switching the input from toslink (where a completely powered off TV was connected) to LAN I could turn on the subwoofer without any problems.

Now I wonder what might have been the problem? It seems that the SHD did output some weird AES signals to the woofer? Maybe the sub woofer has a problem? But why did it work on the 3rd try?

I never had similar problems with the loudspeakers connected to AES output channels 1+2.
