Sure, we'd be happy to. The firmware is finalized from our side. We're just combining it to Volumio as we speak.
We will then issue the firmware to RoonLabs for final testing. Unfortunately unsure as to the timeline on this but I'm sure they will do their best to speed things up from their side.

Man, this level of responsiveness is refreshing. I'd hate to have my SHD be bricked since I disconnected it as a device from Roon. Thank you!

New SHD owner here. This is the device I've been waiting for. Such incredible value! I'm eagerly awaiting Roon Ready certification, which will be the cherry on top.

I've been able to get R.A.A.T. working by enabling the Roon Bridge plugin within Volumio. It beats AirPlay, but still no volume control from within the Roon players.

B) Hello from France....Yes it's possible, ...You have to choose "Volume with DSP" ;)

I don’t see that option anywhere in Volumio

Is there any updates on this?

Update...why ?
The SHD works perfectly with Roon, so much so that i even sold my streamer Métrum Ambre
Little tip, add a small network filter like the EMO EN-70E at the input network of the SHD :)

This topic was started to discuss the Roon Ready streaming option which could be enabled under the "My Music" settings. It was a beta functionality that was, and continues to be, uncertified. However, it functioned properly in this uncertified state until Roon decided to shut down uncertified devices. This beta functionality included the ability to control the SHD hardware volume using the Roon app, among other added features.

What you are using is the Roon Bridge plugin which is an ALSA endpoint. As you have shown, to control volume in Roon you must use DSP volume control. I'm not here to argue which method for using Roon with the SHD is better or to point fingers at either company. I have been asking for updates on the Roon forum as well. Please don't derail this topic by discussing the Volumio Roon Bridge plugin functionality, this thread is about Roon Ready certification.

I had to apply for a developer account to keep MiniDSP running. For how long Roon will allow this we do not know. Therefore the question to MiniDSP dev team is still outstanding and of high interest for all Roon users.
