Has anyone upgraded the 12V switching adapter to iFi or a linear power supply?

Hi, you are talking about the SHD studio?
It must be, otherwise your info concerning the voltage was wrong!

F.Y.I:
I can tell you, that i have changed something in between the 230VAC/24VDC powersupply of the SHD and the thereafter following P.C.B boards.
I have inserted here a "iFi DC iPurifier2", which improved the overall music quality in several ways quit a lot.

The improvement can be heard quit easely in my case, but may vary in your case, depending of the total quality of your audio rig.

The very same iFi DC iPurifier2 can also be used (very easely) to upgrade a SHD Studio's PSU output voltage!!!
This unit can handle any DC input voltage in between 5VDC and 24VDC. Maximum output current maybe as high as 3 Amp max.

There are also very high quality PSU's available which give even better results, but these are very expensive! (in acces of € 350,00)

Hopefully this info will help you to decide wether a better PSU could give you better results as you allready have!!!

Succes.

Thanks for the info. Yes, it is for the SHD studio, and I will try the "iFi iPower Low Noise DC Power Supply" as well as possibly the unit you mentioned.
