When using Roon to stream through the SHD, the included remote works well to pause playback, however it does not seem to be able to start playback. Hitting the Play/Pause button again does not do anything if the music is already paused.

Is there any way to fix this, or will integrating something like a Logitech Harmony remote allow full control of Roon playback?

I have the same issue and question.

This issue affects more than just Roon. I have Spotify streaming and have the exact same issue -- can only pause playback -- resume does not work. The only way I've found to "resume" playback via the remote is by selecting 'next track', which then unfortunately skips to the next track (but at least is playing again).

Software Details:
SHD System Version: 1.062 (latest version)
Spotify Plugin: 2.0.2 (latest version)
Volumio Spotify Connect: 1.0.3 (latest version)

Things tried:
- Uninstalling/reinstalling all Spotify plugins (no change, same behavior)
- Setup a new universal remote (no change, same behavior)

Issue Reproduction (via Spotify):
1. Start Spotify streaming to SHD
2. Press play/pause on the provided SHD remote -- observe music is paused
3. Attempt to resume playback by pressing the same play/pause button -- observe that one of two things occur:
- a) music will not resume
- b) or, if music was previously playing from a local Media Server, internet radio, etc., then this starts playback!

I strongly suspect this is an issue with the MiniDSP software -- not the Roon or Spotify plugins.

Would be nice to hear from the devs if this can be fixed within the SHD. It really kills the experience to have to go back to a mobile device every time I need to play/resume playback, and makes the product feel half baked
