Recently switched from AT&T Internet to Spectrum. A new modem and router is being used. Everything works except I cannot connect to the SHD using the usual link( http://minidsp-shd and minidsp-shd.local)

I cannot find the USB wifi dongle so I am connected via ethernet.

In my case, the ip address of my network drive was not sufficient. I had to enter the ip address / name of server file (i.e. , Music).

I have an Airport Extreme router, the ip address was not listed. So I had to download the FIng app to do a network scan to find it.

Now I can connect to the SHD and the Volumio window comes up for a few minutes. But if I try to log into Qobuz and get setup, it just crashes. Further attempts to connect to the device results in "safari cannot open the page." It's great than I can see a Volumio window for a bit before refusing to connect in subsequent attempts using the same ip address.

Nothing would make me happier that to take a sledge hammer to the device or throw it off an 8 story window and watch it shatter into dozens of satisfying pieces before lighting in on fire and mailing the remains to the manufacturer with a strongly worded letter. But I would like to see if the SHD actually can complete any reasonable task it is purportedly designed to do before giving in to my fantasies of destroying it Like maybe playing a song, or streaming something, or being able to login to tidal or qobuz. Any of those things would be awesome.

However, for the $1000 I paid, you will be happy to know that it does function well as a an amp stand, a candle holder, or bookshelf. I just wish it did more.

Ask Minidsp support at their website. It's clear the happy users on this forum can't help you.

I guess the SHD was working fine until your router change?
Now you switch your router/modem and the SHD no longer works, but the problem IS the SHD and it needs to be thrown off a roof.

I love audiophile logic like this. :)
