Hello,
a complicated one for the freaks of home automation:

In short: Now that it is possible to switch inputs and filters within Volumios's webinterface, does anybody now the http-request for these functions?

In other words:
http://volumioIP:30000/api/v1/commands/cmd=volume&volume=100 sets volume to full,
http://volumioIP:30000/api/v1/getState sends the status of Volumio and so on.

But how do I switch the input and the preset on the miniDSP?

OK, found it. Perhaps somebody somewhere is interested:

IP-Adress/api/v1/browse?uri=inputs/id/1

switches the inputs where the "1" at the end is input Toslink. 1-7 are the seven inputs of the miniDSP.

IP-Adress/api/v1/browse?uri=inputs

Shows (slightly encrypted) which input is selected.

This switches through the four presets for Dirac. Sadly I didn't found a command to switch off Dirac:
IP-Adress/api/v1/browse?uri=presets/id/1
IP-Adress/api/v1/browse?uri=presets/id/2
IP-Adress/api/v1/browse?uri=presets/id/3
IP-Adress/api/v1/browse?uri=presets/id/4

where
IP-Adress/api/v1/browse?uri=presets
shows the state of the presets.

I am wondering: Are you all controlling your miniDSP with the poor infrared remote control? Nobody using his tablet with a home automation system?

This could be very useful.

We can potentially use this to simulate home theater bypass functionality by automatically setting a different master volume level depending on which input has been selected

In my case I always want the RCA input volume set to 100% (as this is used for L/R channels from my AV receiver), but I need the SHD volume control to vary (and be set lower!) for my other inputs I use for music listening.

I'm hoping to use this to automatically detect an input change a set an appropriate volume accordingly.......

I am using a harmony hub remote together with home assistant. This gives me a lot of flexibility to set whatever I need. It works really well. But no readout of data. Thus your findings are pretty cool. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the thanks. But I am not sure how far this is dependent from volumio. So be careful especially when using volume settings.

For myself I find it complicated to find a reliable function to simply decrease or increase the volume by one step / decibel.

It would be nice if miniDSP could tell us "direct" commands to control the Studio. There must be a way to avoid the detour via Volumio's web interface...

This is fantastic, thank you. Was looking for a way to integrate into my Home Assistant setup without having to rely on another Harmony Hub. Hopefully one way there will be native API access for the SHD, but this will work great in the meantime.
