Hey guys, I have the following 96khz RIAA correction biquad filters that I would like to use:

a coefficients 1. -1.866632 .86705829
b coefficients 1. -.85352776 -.11046426

gain at 1kHz 18.625dB

How would I input these into the MiniDSP software?

On the outputs tab in the plugin, click on PEQ and then Advanced. This will then let you type in biquad coefficients.

An 18.625 dB gain at 1 kHz sounds like a bad idea though. What makes you want to do this?

Ah, I've never had anything to do with vinyl :) .

Correctly calculated biquad coefficients define every aspect of the filter, including the gain. You don't set this separately. Once you've entered the coefficients you'll get a visual representation of the filter so you'll be able to see if it looks as you expect.

This kind of thing is much better done in an analog phono preamp/EQ.

Two quick thoughts:

I wouldn't discount a well-designed phono stage with built in correction being superior but I don't use a turntable myself to comment from experience. Do you have a phono stage but this lacks the RIAA correction?

Thinking about this I guess you need to apply multiple biquads rather than the single one you mentioned? If so it would probably be easier to save these in a text file and using this to load them all in one step. Let me know if you want to do this and I'll then check the required format for you.
