TOPIC:

I attempted to install, via the Volumio web browser built-in the SHD-Studio, a Volumio plugin that was available via the SHD-Studio. After the install it attempted to run and then froze. Now I can't access Volumio via the web browser at all. I have unplugged / plugged the SHD-Studio from power without any success. When I attempt to control the SHD-Studio via USB and the miniDSP program via a Mac computer, it loses the connection almost immediately. What are my options?

Maybe you should reveal which plugin you installed? Is the shd reachable via ping or ssh? In this case, best thing would be to ask devteam for ssh login and a way to uninstall the plugin via console.

Hi and thanks for your replies.

I have been dealing with the dev team. The option they have provided, before I read your suggestions, was a reset of the SHD-Studio via a USB thumb drive. I haven't moved forward as I'm waiting for answers to some questions I had, the most important one being "Will I lose the room corrections that took a lot of time and effort to set up?... or are they safely stored on my computer to be re-uploaded to the device after the reset?". I haven't yet heard back.

I'll also ask them about the SSH login. They did say in the future they are planning to delete all the plugins from future revisions.

The plugin I attempted to use was the 10 band eq. I thought it would be useful for quick eq adjustments on the fly while listening to music.

The USB Thumb Drive suggestion provided by the devteam did not work in this instance.

same problem here ... or i think so, but

• the SHD is playing over USB
• the rooter see it ... can change IPs and so
• lan on the SHD is working - both leds are blinking (orange+green)
• SHD app for tuning and starting dirac can connect

but ... no volumio and no access over network ... no streaming
