today I was offered a test version 1.055 for Volumio. This was done, although Devteam remarked to have advisen the volumio team not to release test versions to the public. Last time I installed a test version, it broke squeezelite so be careful.

I don't quite understand your post. Are you saying you have installed a beta version of Volumio, or saying you were offered one that you turned down and are warning others to do the same?

What's so hard to understand? Today I was offered a test version! As I wrote. The last time I installed a test version, it broke squeezelite, as I wrote. Maybe you should read a post before answering. This thread is considered to be a warning and a hint to devteam. Yes, I denyed the Installation of the test version, just to make things clear for everybody who doesn't read posts thoroughly.

If you're seeing this message, you're obviously in test mode (you must have enabled it?).

Please go to "volumio.local/dev" and set TEST mode to FALSE. Reboot and you'll never receive these msg.Thanks
In the mean time, we'll work with Volumio team to remove all TEST mode as it's not intended for standard users. It's only for beta testers that have knowledge and are ready to test features.

Thanks for the quick reply. I followed your instruction and now I don't get an offer for a test version. I'm pretty sure I never visited ths page before.
